I got the stand today, I'm starting to setup the aquarium now.

So I haven't gotten the stand yet..

I'm hoping for this weekend if possible.

Nothing much new, Hung out with some friends last friday, it was fun lots of drunken shenanigans were had. Last week was also the chicken and rib fest here, 5 days of BBQ goodness, I went wednesday, thursday, friday and sunday. I have my fill of really good BBQ for the year now. Job is good, weather is meh, it's been raining alot lately. I haven't cooked in my apartment for the last 2 weeks or so... I have to get back into it, I also have to clean it.

Life is somewhat good, it'll be better when I can finally setup this aquarium that I've had sitting in the living room empty for the last 6 months..

It's freaking hot here... and humid

Right now it's 26 degrees (that's 78 for you 'muricans) and it "feels like" 37 (99) with 84% Humidity.. It's been like this for the past 4-5 days now.. I think an air conditioner is in my near future..

On the plus side, My sister's on vacation this week, so I've been dropping by her place everyday, ostensibly to Take care of the house.. The main reason is so I can use the BBQ and spend some time in an air conditionned house..

I'm actually going to start looking for a roomate soon, I figure if I get a roomate I can pay off my debt twice as fast.. Just have to move my stuff out of the extra room.

I bought a test kit and a hydrometer (used to measure the salinity and specifig Gravity of the saltwater) I just need another kit and some timers and a powerbar.

other than that life is good, I'm going to a 10 year highschool "reunion" this coming saturday. I didn't recognise half of the people going, so it might be a bit weird, but we'll see how it goes..

I made Beer Brats today on the BBQ, it was really good..

Allright, later, I'm going to go melt into a puddle now...

Status update time.

Aquarium stand is still under construction, it's almost done though. It's been taking a while, but that's cool, I'm getting it for free..

Job's going good, life in general is ok. I'm thinking I might have to find a roomate or move out of my apartment when I go back to school, I have a year or so to think about it so we'll see.

My dad sent me an email with apicture of the aquarium stand he's building for me, it looks solid.

In the pic it's white, but he's painting it black.

Other than that things are good, I'm feeling better now that i have a semi plan for the near future (Clear debt and go to cooking school), sucks that I'll probably have to quit this job (I don't think I'll be able to do it part time) but whatever, I'll be doing something I love, not something I sort of like.

My remaining fish in my freshwater aquarium are doing fine, the Pleco has a good 5-6 years left in him, the other Gourami is hitting the 4 year mark soon.

I got paid this week, so a trip to purchase misc aquarium supplies is in order I think.
